Game Instructions

In this game, you are a snake (an adder!) trying to solve simple math facts like 5 + 7 = ? or 17 – 9 = ?. Your math question will appear at the bottom of the page, and four possible solutions will appear within the game area. You must choose the correct solution, and run into it.

While you are moving about, beware of running into walls, or running into yourself; this will end your game! Also, if you run into an incorrect answer, your game won’t end, however, new walls will appear within the game area.

Each time you correctly solve a problem, your snake grows longer, making it more difficult to navigate the game without running into yourself.

After you solve 5 problems, you will advance to the next level, in which more walls will appear, making it more difficult to navigate.

Moving The Snake

There are two sets of controls you can use to move the snake. You can use the arrow keys, or you can use the following:

X = Down, S = Left, D = Right, E = Up.

Object of the Game
I have selected a word. To help you figure out my word, five other words have also been selected. The word I have selected is made up of one letter from each of the other words.
Game Instructions
To move a letter down to a blank space, just click on the letter. That row and column will turn red to remind you you can’t take another letter from that row. You can check the letters you have in place by clicking the “Check Letters” button. Any letter which is correct will be marked green.
Game Hints
Beware! If a column has two letters which are the same, you might have the right letter, but have taken it from the wrong row…so don’t assume that just because a letter is marked green that it came from the right row!
To return a letter to the upper rows, just click on it.
Object of the Game
The computer will give you 7 guesses to figure out the secret word. You make a guess by selecting letters from the alphabet. The computer will tell you which letters you picked are in the word, and which letters are in the right location in the word.
Game Instructions
At the top of the screen you will see a grid containing 7 rows of squares. The top row has empty squares. When you click on a letter in the alphabet below, the letter you click will move into the next available empty square. If the letter you selected is in the computer’s word, the letter will turn yellow. If the letter is in the computer’s word and it is in the right position (for example, the third letter you select is the third letter in the computer’s word) then the letter will turn green.
When you have completed a row, the next row of squares will become empty, allowing you to try again. Letters you tried in the first row that are not in the computer’s secret word are now gone from the alphabet, and the letters you previously picked which are in the computer’s secret word are now highlighted bright yellow, making it easier to pick letters.
If you find out the computer’s secret word in 7 guesses or less, you win. Otherwise, you lose.
You can choose the length of words you want to try by selecting a length from the list box below.
Note: These are all words which have no repeated letters.
Figure out the secret word, based on a clue word and the numbers/punctuation on a BlackBerry device. Similar to: Telephone Game
Object Of The Game
Use the BlackBerry keypad letters and symbols to help you figure out the hidden word, and enter your solution in the space provided.
Game Instructions
The computer will select a hidden word. This is the word you must guess. In order to figure out the computer’s hidden word, the computer will give you two pieces of information:
A clue word which is (in some way) related to the hidden word
The sequence of numbers and symbols that, on a BlackBerry, share a key with the letters of the word
Most of the BlackBerry keys contain two letters; for example, the key which contains the number one also contains the letters “E” and “R”. Thus, if the list of symbols begins with a number one, you know that the word must begin with either the letter “E” or the letter “R”.
Once you have figured out the word, enter it in the space provided to find out if you are correct.
If your answer is not correct, the computer will tell you which letters were correct. This will help you zero in on the solution.
